A Day in the Life of Jacob
by Jacob on Oct.27, 2004, under Life
Gee, I guess its a good thing that I’m writing this about me, because if
someone else wrote it about me, that would be kind of creepy and stalkerish.
Anyway, here we go.
I wake up, sometime between 7 and 11, I have class at 9. I leave after
showering, but before eating breakfast. Cereal is a meal, not a wake up
routine.
As I walk to school, my blood warms and I begin to become alive for the day.
As I walk by the library, I wonder, “Will I see you like I did that one
day?” Sadly, the answer is never in the affirmative.
Classes are wild, especially with Dr. Wilde. Sometimes I catch up on sleep,
or homework. Once in a while I actually listen to the lecture. Sometimes I
learn something, most of the time I don’t. Class work all morning long is
the name of the game, and I really want to win this game.
Mid-day I act as superhero for the Chemistry Department, and when I say
superhero, I mean webmaster. Although I’m really just a Clark Kent, all
work and no glory. I like it that way.
In the evenings, I go home. I cook one of the college student essential meals
usually. Corn dogs, burritos, waffles, pot pies, or macaroni and cheese.
Sometimes I do many things, sometimes I don’t. Once in a while I go back to
campus to get work done. Sometimes I just lay on my bed to relax and think.
What are you thinking?
Weekends are slightly more exciting. Basically more time that should have
been spend doing homework, but instead was spend doing less important things.
Sometimes I go to a football game, go cougars, thats kind of important. The
victory cake that I make is very important. Once in a while I’m lucky enough
to go on a date, but thats just once in a while, unfortunately.
I smile a little, then shed a tear, without bravery, we haven’t need for fear.
When I sleep, I dream of you, ’till the sun breaks, the day is new
So thats a day, mixed from two, of the life I live, its not so blue.
On to WikiHeaven
by Jacob on Oct.24, 2004, under Technical
Well, I think I made some mistakes over the last week. A couple of months ago, I was upgrading my computer science account and something in the upgrade screwed up my wiki. So I tried upgrading the wiki software, and somehow in the process, I deleted all my old wiki data.
So my wiki is gone. All my information is gone. Including general conference notes, goals, technical thingies.
Actually, I went to Google Cache, and I found some of my early documents, which I’ve copied and pasted into a storage document on my computer, but many of my other documents are gone.
by Jacob on Oct.20, 2004, under Politics
Recently I’ve been seeing all these “register to vote” or “rock the vote” commercials. They are interesting, because although they may seem like a public service announcement, it almost seems to have a political agenda behind it.
I think that certain organizations know they have a viewer base that strongly agrees with their political views. Therefore, the more encouragement these groups give to their viewers to vote, the more votes will be cast in the direction they would prefer.

368 Economists Against John Kerry

J. Edward Carter & Cesar V. Conda on 368 Economists Against John Kerry
I’m convinced that Bush will only win if his supporters are vocal. This is my voice. I think that Bush has a better plan for the economy than Kerry. This article supports this.
