Finishing secret operations

All secret operations need to be finished. That means, if they are to remain secret, they must be cleaned up, and all evidence destroyed or disposed of. Next time there won’t be room for such sloppy operations. Clean, percise, finished.

Googling is a word

Google can, at your option, keep track of things you’ve searched for. Sometimes you spend a while searching for something, you find it, only to not remember the next day what you found. Google search history remembers for you. But they also provide some interesting statistics to go along with this. Much like the statistics on this blog whch show posts, the Google statistics show what hours of the day or what days of the week you do most of your searching.

I found that I do the most Googling in between 1-2am, followed by the midnight hour. This is close to when I do most of my blog posting. So I guess the trends are that I like to do most of my web surfing late at night. At least I use Firefox to do so.

What I ate today

Today was a weird eating day, especially for Sunday.
At 10:00am, I ate a hand full of honey nut chex.
At 4:30, I spent about 5 minutes with a spoon and a box of Dryers chocolate carmel swirl icecream
At 6:30, I ate a bowl of strawberries
At 11:00pm, I ate about half a dozen chocolate chip cookies that I made, with milk.

Am I going to die?

Only nice words

I’ve been trying really hard lately to become a person who never speaks ill of another. I want to train myself to always say only good things about people. In my attempt to do this, I am making you an offer.

From now until the end of May, if you catch me saying something bad about someone, then I’ll give you a dollar bill. It is not that I’m trying to pay you off or something, I just need some sort of incentive to always speak kindly, and loosing a buck every time I mess up seems like good incentive.

If I end up giving you a buck, realize that I need to give you a dollar more than you need to accept it. I don’t care what you do with it. If you really don’t want it, donate it to charity or fast offerings.

Qualities

People whom I like exhibit one or more the following qualities:
Honest, virtuous, friendly, courteous, cheerful, reverent, sincere, mature, spontaneous, intelligent, diligent, concerned, helpful, loving, adventurous, focused, brave, hungry, happy, spiritual, creative, genuine, loyal, thoughtful and religious.

Basically, I like people who are through and through what they seem to be, someone who is continuously trying to improve themselves, and someone who focuses on making others happy.

Clean up your web browsing

I work for a computer support group. A lot of what our group has to deal with is cleaning viruses and spyware off of computers. Many times our users don’t even know that they have a virus or spyware on their computer, they just notice things not working quite right or things are working a little slower than they used to be.

We always suggest using the Firefox web browser to all of our users. It keeps computers clean. I found this great video which promotes Firefox and its ability to keep your computer clean. Watch it, and then download Firefox with the Google toolbar by clicking here.

AIM Fight

I came across a neat little site today called AIM Fight. Basically, you put in two AIM screennames and it gives you a score for each about how popular they are.

Scores are computed based on how many people have you on their buddy list, and the scores of those people who have you, up to three levels deep.

Currently, I’m at 2575.

Go ahead, try and follow me

More details later, but check out where I have been. This is automatically uploaded from my phone, but only sometimes, and only when my phone can see satelites.

Happier

A close friend told me today that I seem happier than I did last semester, and I would have to agree.

I feel alive, vibrant, and energized about life. Life, by the way, is a pretty cool thing.

Last semester, I felt like that homework that was suppose to make me more intelligent, was actually stressing me to the point where the functioning of my brain was as slow as molasses. I couldn’t talk about my thoughts, because I didn’t have any, and I could express my feelings, because they came too slowly to realize what they were. Like the best I could do socially last semester was blank stares.

But that is all different. I can communicate, entertain, make jokes, and be functional again. I can think, express my emotions, and my thoughts fly free like they have wings. I really am happy, life is great.

Hypocrisy often comes when talking

Most people don’t like it when they try and watch a movie, and they have a hard time paying attention to the movie because someone nearby is talking up a storm.

Sometimes it is the same people who complain about this who are the ones that offend, although perhaps not during the same movie.

But since I’ve noticed this, and I am complaining, I probably offend as well. So if I do talk excessively during movies, tell me now, and I’ll forever keep quiet.

BYUSA Carries Out WSC Handouts

I would like to make a few quick comments to a Daily Universe article found here: BYU NewsNet - BYUSA Carries Out WSC Handouts

The article quoted Max Hunsaker, Vice President of BYUSA, as saying:

BYUSA is not in charge of firing. The criticism is misguided.

My response: Who is in charge of firing? To whom should people guide their criticisms?

It also quoted one of the volunteers who said:

I just don’t think they understand really what’s going on.

My response:What is really going on then?
