mtn. announcers are dumb

Unlike last year, this year I was able to attend the BYU vs. Utah game, and it was incredible. I was re-watching a recording of the end of this year’s game from Saturday, and with 1:13 left in the game, 4th down and 19 to go, the announcers made this comment:

Final play of the game offensively for BYU…

The actual last offensive play of the game for BYU came some 35 seconds of play clock later, as Max Hall threw a two point conversion pass to Collie just after Unga ran the ball in for a touch down, giving BYU a 7 point lead.

Please, announcers on the mtn. channel, don’t say a play is the last of the game unless it actually is.

Utes and Cheerios

Here is another University of Utah Joke:

Q: What is the difference between the U. of U. football team and a bowl of Cheerios?

A: The Cheerios belong in a bowl!

Pizza and a Ute

This is one of my favorites:

Two feeds for the hungry

A couple of weeks ago, I began aggregating the posts from some of my other blogs into this blog. I’ve now updated some of my feeds to represent those changes. There are now two feeds associated with this blog, depending if you want the aggregated content or not.

Keep an eye out for Utes

With the football game this week, BYU is stepping up security on campus. You can help by keeping an eye out for Utes that may be wanting to vandalize campus. This joke may help you to identify a Ute on campus:

Q: Why do University of Utah fans keep their diplomas on their dashboards?

A: So they can park in handicap spaces.

Cougar and Ute

In honor of the Utah-BYU rivalry, here is a joke that I found:

Q. What is the difference between a Cougar and a Ute?

A. They both applied to BYU.

Is it Christmas already?

I was walking through the student center of BYU the other day, and I noticed that they had some of their Christmas decorations up already. This happened more than 50 days before Christmas! It used to be that the Christmas season started with Thanksgiving, but apparently this year it is starting with Halloween. I’ve even seen Christmas merchandise appear in some stores already too.

Aggregation of posts

A year or so ago, I went blog happy, creating several new blogs. The idea was to keep like content sorted more closely as to not confuse some readers with posts outside of their reading scope.

However, this created the appearance that I didn’t blog very much anymore. To solve this problem, I’ve started aggregating post titles from my other blogs into my main blog. Now when you are reading through my posts, you will see extra titles sorted in with the rest of the posts and those titles link to the full post text somewhere else.

I’ll get the feeds working soon.
