Rex Lee Run 2007

General

Every year BYU in Provo, Utah hosts a run around campus to raise money for cancer research. It is named the Rex Lee Run, after one of BYU’s former presidents, Rex Lee, who died from cancer. It is one of the most popular races in Provo. Last year there were over 2000 runners.

This year’s race is slated for this Saturday. The weather is suppose to be pretty decent and I’m predicting a great run.

I operate the Rex Lee Run website, where you may sign up online.

Great weather for hiking the Y

Adventures

Last Saturday I did a quick Y hike. This was my first hike of the year in which I timed myself. My goal was to get up in 30-35 minutes, but I ended up doing in in 27 minutes. This is still a few minutes slower than my fastest time, but pretty good for the beginning of the season.

I love my hiking boots. They make hiking a pleasure.

The weather was also great, not to hot, not to cold, with clear, crisp air.

On the way back down the mountain, I met Tyler, who is a freshman at Helaman halls and is going on a mission to Sweden. Good luck Tyler on your mission.

If only I had time for more adventures like this.

Average age of my ward

Religion

I ran some stats today about the average age of my student ward here at BYU. Here they are:
Average Age: 22.2 years
Average Male Age: 23.0 years
Average Female Age: 21.7 years

If you look at the age distribution, most of the women are between 19 and 23 years old, and most of the men are between 21 and 23 years old.
